Explosion levels house, kills 2 dogs in southwest Ohio

NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say an explosion has destroyed a home in southwest Ohio, killing two dogs inside.

The blast happened in North College Hill around 9:30 p.m. Monday. The homeowner, Tim Skinner, says he was at a store when the explosion happened and two of his three dogs were likely killed.

Fire crews say they suspect natural gas caused the blast but the official cause remains under investigation. The remains of the home burned for more than an hour after the explosion.
