Rev. Huffman to speak at Rev. Phillips’ installation Sunday

The Rev. Dr. John Huffman will speak this Sunday, June 28, at the Plain City Presbyterian Church at the installation service of the Rev. Alice Phillips.

Rev. Huffman was ordained at New York’s Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church and has both a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary. After 47 years of active church ministry, Rev. Huffman retired in 2009 from the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, California.

Rev. Huffman is chairman of the of boards of Christianity Today and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is also currently the chaplain of the Doctorate of Ministry program at Fuller Theological Seminary.

From 1996-2001 he chaired the board of World Vision, has worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators and personally with Dr. Billy Graham. Rev. Huffman has been a mentor and friend to Rev. Phillips.

The church is honored to welcome him to the Plain City Presbyterian Church, 231 E. Main St.

The installation service begins promptly at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
