BATTELLE-DARBY CREEK METRO PARK, 1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway.

Wednesday, July 1

• Full Buffalo Bellows Moon Hike, 9 p.m. Take a 4-mile hike through fields and forest. Meet at the Ranger Station.

Friday, July 3

• Mammals Display, 1 to 4 p.m. See skins, scat, skulls and skeletons of Ohio’s past and present mammals. Meet at the nature center.

• Fireflies, 9 p.m. Summon nature’s natural fireworks with lights as you take a half-mile hike. Meet at the Indian Ridge Bulletin Board.

Saturday, July 4

• Birds Display, 1 p.m. View a display of amphibians, reptiles and other cold-blooded critters. Meet at the nature center.

Saturday, July 11

• Photo Group: Great Smoky Mountains National Park, 9 a.m. Discover how to get great pictures in the national park. Meet at the nature center.

• Yoga, 11:30 a.m. Learn yoga movements in an outdoor setting to rejuvenate your mind and body. Bring a mat and/or blanket. Meet at the Ranger Station.

Sunday, July 12

• Bison, 1 p.m. Take a 1-mile hike to see North America’s largest land mammal. Meet at the nature center.

Tuesday, July 14

• Preschoolers: Creeking, 9:30 or 11 a.m. Wade in the creek and discover what critters live there. Meet at the Ranger Station.

Saturday, July 18

• National Moth Week: Moth Display, 9 a.m. Celebrate National Moth Week and see a display of native moths. Meet at the nature center.

• Metro Five-0: Level 1 Archery, 6 p.m. Learn how to use a compound bow. Age 50 and older Meet at the nature center.

Sunday, July 19

• National Moth Week: Moth Display, 9 a.m. Celebrate National Moth Week and see a display of native moths. Meet at the nature center.

Monday, July 20

• National Moth Week: Moth Display, 9 a.m. Celebrate National Moth Week and see a display of native moths. Meet at the nature center.

• Monday Matinee: Build It Beaver, 10 a.m. Go on a creature adventure with the Wild Kratt brothers as they help a beaver rebuild its lodge and restore the ecosystem for all the creatures who live there. Meet at the nature center.

• National Moth Week: Moth Display, 9 a.m. Celebrate National Moth Week and see a display of native moths. Meet at the nature center.

• Prairie Prowl, 9 a.m. Ramble through the tall grass prairie to see colorful flowers and wildlife. Meet at the nature center.

• Late Night at Pleasant Valley, 8 p.m. The Pleasant Valley Area and pet trail will be open till midnight for fishing, hiking and stargazing. Meet at Pleasant Valley Bulletin Board, 9137 State Route 62.

• Moth Mania, 9 p.m. Set light traps to lure in these nocturnal wonders. Meet at nature center.

Sunday, July 26

• National Moth Week: Moth Display, 9 a.m. Celebrate National Moth Week and see a display of native moths. Meet at the nature center.

• Make and Take Fish Print T-shirts, 1 p.m. Bring a T-shirt and stop by any time to paint it using fish prints. Watch fish in the living stream while your shirt dries. Meet at nature center.

Friday, July 31

• Preschoolers: Creeking, 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. Wade in the creek and discover what critters live there. Meet at Ranger Station.

• Full Blue Moon Hike, 8:30 p.m. Take a 4-mile hike through fields and forest. Meet at the Ranger Station.

Wednesday, July 1

• Sunset Astronomy, 9 p.m. See planets and constellations with telescopes and binoculars. Meet at the Energy Center (at the Windmill).

Saturday, July 11

• Geocaching and S’mores, 6:30 p.m. Use GPS units to locate critters hidden in the park and enjoy s’mores around a campfire. Meet at the main entrance bulletin board.

Saturday, July 18

• Tram and Campfire, 6 p.m. Enjoy s’mores around a campfire and take a tram ride through the park. Meet at the Red Oak Trailhead.

Saturday, July 25

• Journey into Nature with Bats, 8 p.m. Discover fun facts about bats and take a 1-mile walk to look for them hunting. Meet at the main entrance bulletin board.

Tuesday, July 28

• Walk and Woof, 7 p.m. Enjoy a 2.5-mile hike with your dog. Meet at the main entrance bulletin board.

Friday, July 31

• Night Bike Ride, 8:30 p.m. Enjoy an 8.5-mile ride through fields and forest. Meet at the main entrance bulletin board.

PRAIRIE OAKS METRO PARK, 3225 Plain City-Georgesville Road, West Jefferson.

Saturday, July 4

• Canoe The Lakes, 1 to 4 p.m. Stop by anytime and take a canoe out on Darby Bend Lakes. Children must fit into life jacket to ride. Meet at Darby Bend Lakes, 2755 Amity Road, Hilliard.

Friday, July 10

• Bats and Bugs, 8:30 p.m. Watch bats leave their roost and use special lights to talk to lightning bugs. Meet at Whispering Oaks Picnic Area.

Saturday, July 18

• Get Fit Morning Walk, 8 a.m. Take a brisk 4-mile walk through the forest and prairie. Meet at Darby Bend Lakes, 2755 Amity Road, Hilliard.

Sunday, July 10

• Family Wading, 2 p.m. Take a half-mile walk to the creek to catch and release bugs, fish and crawdads. Meet at Whispering Oaks Picnic Area.

Saturday, July 25

• Late Night Fishing, 9 p.m. to midnight. Fish Darby Bend Lakes and Beaver Lake at night. Meet at Darby Bend Lakes, 2755 Amity Road, Hilliard.
