Be a driving force for seminary students.
London’s First Presbyterian Church will be sponsoring a “Cruisin’ In the Country” car show on Sunday, July 26 from 1 to 5 p.m.
The event — to benefit the church’s Davidson Fund which is set up to assist seminary students — will take place at 5005 State Route 38 southeast, just south of London toward Newport.
While there is not a registration fee for vehicles, donations are graciously accepted. Organizers say that if you have a special car or truck, bring it along.
There will be food and fun for the entire family. Music will be provided by Dick ‘Hot Dog’ Ryman, as well as an appearance by the Music Men of London Barbershop Quartet.
Additionally, a 50-50 raffle and a silent auction will be held to benefit the fund as well.
The Davidson Fund can be used by members of London’s First Presbyterian Church who are going into the seminary. Currently, Julie Oswalt is going through that process. Previous recipients have included Terry Pheleger and Marsha Sternard.
