CINCINNATI (AP) — Cincinnati State Technical and Community College has a new president.
Monica Posey had been named interim president at the college last fall after Dr. O’dell Owens resigned to become the Cincinnati Health Department’s medical director.
The college announced on Monday that Posey will continue to lead the school for the foreseeable future.
Posey has been at Cincinnati State in some capacity since 1992, including as assistant dean, director of institutional research and planning, academic vice president and provost.
She received her doctorate from the University of Cincinnati and holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School.
The school says Posey is the first African-American female president of a major educational institution in the Cincinnati area.
