The Nation’s Weather for Monday, May 8, 2017

As a sluggish storm system lingers in the area, New England

and the Northeast will face an unseasonably cool air mass

tomorrow with some spotty rain showers. Rain and even some

thunderstorms will stretch from the Dakotas through Illinois

as a disturbance drops south from Canada. Thunderstorms

will also dot the central and southern Rockies, a few of

which could produce some gusty winds and locally heavy

rainfall. The Southeast will be seasonable, save for central

Florida where temperatures will rise above normal. Partly to

mostly sunny skies are in store for the Pacific Northwest.

Some wet weather will linger in far southern California,

while central and northern California turn a bit warmer than

yesterday with some sunshine.
