Tigers win softball title


The Madison County Tigers Special Olympics Unified Softball Team earned the first-place trophy at the Pickaway Hawks Softball Invitational in Circleville. The Tigers defeated Fayette County 15-5 in the semifinal matchup and then topped Hocking County 12-2 in the finals to grab the crown. The Tigers are affiliated with the Madison County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Members of the victorious squad included front row from: Marlyn Zeeck, Jerry Salters, Shaundra Sayre, Michael Long, Courtney Salters, Corey Clifford, Jacob Kuhn, Jacey Hamilton and Caternia Pierce; second row: Lincoln Comer, Jeremy Collins, Dominique Gonzalez, Jorge Gonzalez, Nate Gonzalez, John Zeeck, Kody Price, Mike Elfrink, Chris Zeeck and Nick Dummitt.
