NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The Capital University women’s track and field team sent multiple competitors to the Gregory Final Qualifier, hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Ill. on May 18. A few personal records were set at Bernedetti-Wehrli Stadium to close the season out on a high note.
Caitlyn Tulloss (Utica, Ohio/Northridge) finished fifth in the women’s 400-meter dash behind a time of 58.93 seconds. That time set a new PR for the senior and moved her from fourth to third on Capital’s top 10 list.
Also competing in the 400 was sophomore Larkin Joseph, who set a new PR behind her sixth-place finish (1:00.33), and freshman Olivia Quinter (1:04.19).
Hunter Mouser (London, Ohio/London) finished seventh in the 200-meter dash. The junior moved up to number four on Capital’s top 10 list last week, and this week finished in a time of 25.80. Quinter also ran in that race, finishing 16th in 27.71 seconds.
Freshman Taylor Manivanh finished fourth in the triple jump, recording a best of 11.08 meters (36-04 ¼), just short of her personal record.
Manivanh, Mouser, Tulloss, and Joseph then combined to form Cap’s 4×400-meter relay team, which clocked in a time of 3:55.85, good for fifth and coming in just one-half of a second behind the team’s season best.
