The West Jefferson Youth Athletic Association in partnership with The Ohio Machine and Midwest Lacrosse present MadCo Lacrosse.
This will be a program offered for kids kindergarten through eighth grades to learn how to play lacrosse. Activities will include:
• Fundamental instruction from pro and college level players and coaches
• Drills and exercises to enforce those fundamentals
• Advanced drills for participants with past experience
• As skills progress, we’ll partner kids of the same age/skill levels and compete in game scenarios.
It will begin from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 9, then every Tuesday and Thursday through the end of July.
The cost is $70 per participant that will include each paying participant a new lacrosse stick, and reversible lacrosse jersey.
To participate in any passing drills or games, a helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads and gloves will be required. These can be purchased through Midwest Lacrosse or can be acquired second hand through various sources.
Early bird registrants who register by Wednesday, June 17 will receive a ticket to the Ohio Machine home game on Saturday, June 20. Discounted tickets will be available for family members of participants.
This program is available to any girl or boy in Madison County who is interested in learning about or getting better at lacrosse.
Parents and perspective coaches are encouraged to come out and participate. Don’t miss this chance to learn from pro and college level athletes and coaches.
