COLUMBUS — With less than three weeks until the 37th U.S. Senior Open Championship, conducted by the United States Golf Association (USGA), at historic Scioto Country Club, officials today released several details related to remaining ticket options for championship week, Aug. 8-14.

“It is clear that sports fans in central Ohio cannot wait to see Scioto open its doors to some of the most recognizable names in golf,” stated Director of USGA Championships, Matt Sawicki. “We are thrilled by the response of the local community and know that this will lead to a successful championship.”

The 1916 Club, the championship’s upgraded ticket option, is expected to sellout this week; only 90 tickets remain. Available for $259 each, a 1916 Club ticket provides weeklong admission to the championship grounds, plus access to an air conditioned pavilion located between holes 13, 14 and 15. With a viewing deck overlooking the 13th green and food and beverage options (available for purchase) provided by Cameron Mitchell Premiere Events, the 1916 Club has been one of the championship’s most popular ticket options.

The championship recently released several daily ticket options, and response to these options has been strong. A daily ticket for Thursday’s opening round is $40, with daily tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday priced at $45. Tickets for practice rounds, when spectators may use cameras and collect autographs on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, are $25 each.

Tickets for the 37th U.S. Senior Open can be purchased online by visiting the championship website at www.2016ussenioropen.com. All ticket options include free general admission to children 17-years-old and younger who are accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Additionally, the championship offers free general admission on practice rounds days to ALL active and retired military, plus one guest. The military ticket policy covers all branches of service, including: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy and the National Guard and Reserves. Active and Retired Military are required to bring their military identification and regular photo identification to any admission gate in order to receive the military tickets for any practice round day, Aug. 8-10 (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
