A 53-year-old man fishing on the lake at Deer Creek State Park died Monday afternoon of an apparent medical condition after bystanders said he fell overboard his boat. The man was apparently fishing alone in a fiberglass boat when a 911 call was placed, according to Eileen Corson, spokesperson for Ohio Department of Natural Resources. She said at least two calls came in from bystanders who saw the man fall overboard, climb back inside the boat, and collapse inside the vessel.Corson said good samaritans on shore observed the man in distress, waded out from shore approximately 80 yards and towed the boat to shore to administer CPR.Corson said a medical helicopter was called to the Mount Sterling-area park, but the man was not transported.
