M-P: Report card moving in right direction

Efforts taken in Madison-Plains Schools to improve testing scores is showing some results, administrators told the Board of Education (BOE) Tuesday evening during its regular meeting.Curriculum Director Karen Grigsby gave a brief explanation of the recently released report card from Ohio Department of Education. Overall, it shows the district is improving and moving academically in the right direction, she said.Grigsby said a direct comparison to the previous year is difficult to draw because the state keeps changing the number of indicators, and the number required to pass went up from 75 percent to 80 percent.

 

Heightened caution needed on roads in harvest time
