A member of London City Council is pressing forward to pass a law requiring city employees to be personally liable for any unapproved purchases, but other members feel as if the law is “too broad.”During a 20-minute heated interchange between council members and Mayor Dave Eades, councilman Steve Scaggs said it’s time to make city officials more accountable.Eades previously told council the proposed law is in direct conflict to a portion of Ohio law granting employees immunity from civil liability, and would make the city liable to a lawsuit. But, Scaggs said he spoke with city law Director Zahid H. Siddiqi and there is no conflict.

Their flocks numbered in the billions and could turn day into night. Now they are extinct, the victim of overhunting and habitat destruction. The loss of this species is one of the greatest examples of what can happen if we are not committed to conserving our wildlife.
