With an extremely young roster, any wins early in the season will surely help later on.
The London girls basketball team earned its first victory of the season Wednesday, Dec. 4, with a hard fought 37-30 triumph over visiting Northeastern.
Mackenzie Minner led the way offensively for London, scoring 11 points. Megan Cox also reached double figures with 10 points.
With the victory London improved its record to 1-3. The team was scheduled to play its first Mid-State League Ohio Division game against host Grandview Friday, Dec. 6. But weather forced that game to be moved to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The Roughriders (1-1) dropped this non league contest Dec. 4.
The team will next be in action at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10 when it plays host to Grandview.
The Flames (3-1) were done in by poor play during the middle quarters of the game with visiting Delaware Christian Thursday, Dec. 5.
Shekinah led 14-11 after the first quarter but was outscored 36-13 over the next two quarters and suffered its first loss of the season.
Janelle Roby led the Flames with an 11-point effort. Ashley Gingerich added nine and Summer Gingerich chipped in six more.
The Flames will be in action at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The Flames (2-1) held host Madison Christian to single-digit points in three of the four quarters en route to the easy victory.
Zach Yoder led all scorers with 22. Justin Scheffel finished with 11, while Mitch Yoder and Jesse Showalter both had nine points.
Shekinah will play host to Marysville 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10.
