Bikers will hit the road on a poker run Sept. 6 in memory of London native Kathy Shonkwiler, who was killed in July.
Proceeds will go to Shonkwiler’s funeral expenses.
Shonkwiler, 51, of London, was killed by her boyfriend Troy Stone in a murder/suicide in Columbus July 22.
A poker run is an organized event where participants ride to several locations, drawing a playing card at each one. The goal is to have the best hand at the end of the ride.
The best hand will receive $300.
The ride will start at the Crown Sports Lounge at 289 Lafayette St., stopping at The Galloway Tavern, Darby Tavern, Street Side 62 and Gin Mill before heading back to the Crown.
The event will cost riders $15 per bike with one rider, $5 for additional riders. Bikes will take off by noon and must be in by 5 p.m.
A 50/50 raffle and silent auction will take place. T-shirts, window decals and bracelets will also be available.
Those without motorcycles are welcome to attend as well.
