Krazy 4 Clovers 4-H Club is a first-year start up club with 25 members. Meetings began in February and are held at the Jefferson Township Building and the Hurt/Battelle Memorial Library.
Election of officers took place at the March 6 meeting. Those elected were Taylor Peterman, president; Jacob Stryker, vice president; Nathan Siebold, secretary/news reporter; and Emily Stowers, treasurer.
The club has been active in community service projects, including a work day at the Madison County Humane Society, Madison County Fairgrounds improvement projects, Ohio Department of Resources Little Darby Canoe and clean-up day, as well as the 4-H Master Gardeners flower bed project.
Club fundraisers have included 4-H Junior Fairboard beef stick sales and a community service informational video for Dr. Monroe of West Jefferson Chiropractic Office, who donated $25 for every new patient in April and May who mentioned our club. Most recently, members held a Buckeye BBQ pulled pork sale fundraiser at the Madison County Cattleman’s Clinic on June 14.
Demonstrations have been completed by all members as of June 23. Final plans are being made for our club booth display and pen decorations. Advisors have checked that all livestock and members are ready for fair. 4-H passes will be distributed prior to move in day.
“Our club is looking forward to participating in the 2014 Madison County Fair and utilizing our new facilities,” a spokesperson said. “Please look for us on show days.”
