Love is in the air this time of year.

And a local school shows how much it loves the youth of its community.

For the 10th consecutive year, St. Patrick School of London opens its doors for a Valentine’s Day dance.

The annual event — open to all Madison County students in sixth through eighth grades — will take place from 7-9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 at St. Patrick School, 226 Elm St., London.

The event has grown in popularity throughout the years.

With music, free coat check, and concessions available for purchase, what else could you need? There is a $5 admission price (no reentry). Commemorative photos will be taken at a minimal cost.

The dance will be chaperoned by St. Patrick School eighth grade parents as well as school administration.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the St. Patrick eighth grade class trip fund. Other fundraisers throughout the year have included working the main gate at the Madison County Fair and the popular sub sandwich sale.
