The Madison County Democratic Citizenship Award fundraiser dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15 at Ann and Tony’s in West Jefferson.
The public is invited to attend.
Dinner will be a choice of chicken Parmesan with a side of spaghetti or spaghetti and meatball. Both entrees include salad, roll and drink. Carryout is available.
Cost is $15 for one meal or $25 for two. All profits will directly benefit the scholarship fund.
The Citizenship Award is non-partisan and may be used for any education beyond high school, including apprenticeships, vocational training and college. Four students representing each of the Madison County public high schools are selected each spring. Application details may be obtained from school counselors.
The 2013 award winners were Christina Hunter, Madison-Plains High School; Madison Wells, Jonathan Alder High School; and Melissa Granger, London High School. Organizers did not receive an application from a West Jefferson student last year.
