Prepare to get your timbers shivered.

It is mystery, misrepresentation and multi-tasking all thrown into one as the Mt. Sterling First United Methodist Church presents “The Last Pirate of the Caribbean.” The Kimberlee Mendoza drama/comedy/mystery will be presented tonight and tomorrow — each night beginning at 7 p.m. at the church at 110 S. London Street.

Admission is free, but all donations given will go to support the Jackson Area Ministries, an Ohio-based mission that helps the people in the Appalachian area.

Known for his great work on stage with Madison County Arts Council, the show marks a triumphant directorial debut of Patrick Dunkley. He has assembled talented actors of all ages to tell a mysterious tale for which the audience plays a part in deciphering.

Michael Scott is in the lead role as Jarvis, a scripture-spouting salty dog from the high seas. When this red-booted pirate can’t locate his ‘treasure,’ everyone in the show becomes a suspect in the hornswaggling.

LeAnn Webb is Millie, the proprietor of the out of-the-way Wiki Resort that is truly off the beaten path. Leigh Dunkley is a Jane of all trades as she tackles everything from manual labor to medical treatment.

Sara Scott and Cory Geers are a honeymooning couple with some things up their collective sleeve, while Marty Bernes and Michael Bernes are a long-wed duo hoping for some relaxation (if they don’t psychoanalyze it).

Stefanie Dunkley as Tonya is the voice of reason in trying to sort out the mystery. As Darla, Dani Dunkley shows that silence can be golden. Zahid Siddiqi’s Artie is an Australian bloke with a secret of his own.

Katie Geers helps spill the beans as the aptly-named Katie. Children include Emma Danielsson, Lily Danielsson, Andrew Dunkley, and Julianna Dunkley. Reporters are Denise Kannaird, Debbie McClelland, and Mike Tomlinson.

So prepare yourself to share an evening of entertainment with your fellow landlubbers in Mt. Sterling.
