Several London Middle School vocal and instrumental students attended the Ohio Music Education Association solo and ensemble contest on Saturday, April 5, held at Westland High School.


Receiving Superior ratings (I, the highest given) on instrumental solos were Sadie Large, Leila Oswalt, Danielle Bechtel, Julie Adkins and Lily Marriott.


Additionally, the London Middle School Saxophone trio, comprised of Oswalt, Collin Thompson, and Thomas Eagle also received a superior on their ensemble.


Hobbes Treynor received an excellent rating (II) on his piano solo.


The London Woodwind trio, which includes Marriott, Ruth Peart, and Large; London Brass Sextet, comprised of Bechtel, Nick Dunham, Seth Gillilan, Treynor, Adkins and Simon Ruesch; and the London Woodwind Quartet including Julia Attanasio, Sarah Myers, Marriott and Jordan Marco each received an excellent rating.


Vocally, Peart, Olivia Rinesmith, Kaitlyn Patterson, Rachel Herman, Oswalt, Hannah Coleman, and Kelsie Spencer all received superior or excellent ratings.
