The United Way of Clark, Champaign and Madison Counties launched its annual campaign Wednesday at the Madison County Courthouse, London, with food and song. Various agencies supported by United Way contributions, such as The American Red Cross, gave away information about the services provided, thanks to contributions to the United Way campaign. Lunch was provided for guests. Executive director Kerry Pedraza, left, said the $52 annual workplace deduction is an investment in the community and a painless means to help. The London High School Marching band provided music for the launch. The 2013 amount raised in Madison County was $96,154. The 2014 Madison County Goal is set at $100,000.
