The H&R Block retail tax office in Mount Sterling is moving to a new address.
The business will soon be located 40 N. London St., in the former site of the Brickhouse Cafe.
The office will help residents navigate an increasingly complex tax code and claim all the credits and deductions they are entitled.
“For nearly 60 years, H&R Block has been delivering trusted tax advice in neighborhoods across the country,” said Connie Stewart, office manager for H&R Block. “We’re excited to open this office and to meet and serve our new neighbors. It is exciting to blend a historic building of downtown with the technology and expertise that support our clients.”
The community is invited to an open house on Thursday, Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Franchisee owner Ron Morton will attend the open house. He owns nearly 70 H&R Block offices including two in London. The two offices in London and the office in Mount Sterling will employee about 20 people.
The office was formerly located at 160 W. Columbus St. in the village.
