A Madison County woman who went missing Wednesday morning has been located.
Darlene Weisheimer, who suffers from dementia, was found at a gas station in Newark Wednesday evening nearly 12 hours after she was last seen.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office issued an alert asking the public for help at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The seventy-eight-year-old had been seen at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday morning in Findlay. At that time, she was given directions to U.S. Route 23 South, according to Sheriff Jim Sabin.
Weisheimer had been traveling to her Madison County home.
