London police are investigating a breaking and entering at the Rich Oil gas station in London.
The crime took place during the early morning hours on Wednesday, said London Police Chief Dave Wiseman.
Upon reporting to work, an employee saw two unknown suspects exiting the rear of the business. The two suspects took off running.
The employee called 911 at 4:26 a.m. Police responded to the business, located at 276 Lafayette St., London.
Upon investigation, police observed the suspects had forcibly entered the building using hand tools. The inside of the building had been ransacked. Several items were damaged, and an unknown amount of tobacco products was missing.
Rich remained closed Wednesday morning. Yellow police tape is surrounding the building.
A company representative on scene declined to give more information, referring The Madison Press to its corporate office.
