Members of the London City Schools Board of Education hired three new teachers for the 2014-15 school year during a brief, 10 minute meeting early Thursday.
Superintendent Tom Ben said all three are experienced teachers and will be a “very good fit” for district educational goals. He noted all replace retiring educators.
“They have big shoes to fill,” he said.
Teachers hired on May 29 are:
Kyle Glispie — third grade.
Glispie is a London High School graduate. He holds a bachelor’s degree and most recently taught at Columbus Preparatory Academy.
Lindsay Condron — middle school language arts.
Condron holds a master’s degree and most recently taught at Blanchester High School in Clinton County.
Julie Geesling — second grade.
Geesling is a Madison-Plains High School graduate. She holds a bachelor’s degree and most recently taught at Columbus Arts Technical Academy.
Four teaching positions remain open in the London district. They are middle school mathematics; middle and high school vocal music; high school physical education; and kindergarten, according to Ben.
