HPD makes arrests after occupants of car reportedly had drug abuse instruments

Three people were arrested on drug-related charges after the Hillsboro Police Department investigated a parked car at Walmart believed to have been associated with drug-related activity.

The arrests happened Thursday after officers observed a white Toyota Camry parked at Walmart that matched the description of a vehicle reportedly associated with occupants abusing drugs while parked in the Walmart lot.

Officers found two males and one female passenger inside the vehicle and in possession of drug-related items, police said.

Evan Dalton Allen, 23, Martinsville, Tisha D. Anderson, 22, Bainbridge, and Lance M. Purdy, 24, Bainbridge were arrested and charged with possesion of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said more charges are pending lab results from the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation.
