The new pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Lilly Chapel will serve as the grand marshal of the annual Lilly Chapel Homecoming.
Jon Osmundson, his wife, Jennifer, and their family will usher in the 31st annual homecoming, being held this Saturday, Aug. 16 in Lilly Chapel.
The fun-filled day, hosted by the church, kicks off with the annual parade, which forms at the Red Godden farm just north of the village. Anyone who would like to join in is welcome to participate. Participants should be at the Godden farm at 10 a.m. and be ready to step off at 11 a.m.
There will be a music program by the Madison-Plains High School marching band immediately following the parade.
A silent auction begins at noon, along with opening ceremony and presentations. A kiddie pedal pull will take place at 1 p.m. The pull is sponsored by Tri-Green Interstate Equipment and directed by the Central Ohio young farmers. It is for children weighing in at 85 pounds or less.
Additionally, Music by Don and karaoke will be held at 2:30 p.m.
The Posse band will take the stage with its country and gospel songs at 4 p.m., followed by the Trinity auction with donated items from area businesses and individuals at 6 p.m.
A crafts and goodies tent, bake sale, bounce house will be available all day, as well as good food served at reasonable prices.
