WJHS band contest results


Recently, four West Jefferson High School Band students successfully participated in the Ohio Music Education Association Solo and Ensemble Competition. Performing as soloists were from left: sophomore Merrick Crawford (Clarinet, Class C), sophomore Celina Jeffers (Clarinet, Class B), freshman Wesley Miller (Saxophone, Class C), and freshman Alex Ruble (Euphonium, Class B). Ruble earned a Superior rating, while Crawford, Jeffers, and Miller each earned ratings of Excellent. The students are under the direction of Elmer Broecker.
