NEW CONCORD — Elizabeth Files of Plain City earned a Special Academic Award at Muskingum University’s Scholarship Recognition Day, held March 31 on the campus in New Concord.

Files earned Agnes Moorehead Scholarship in Theatre and Rivingston Vocal Scholarship.

Scholarship Recognition Day honors Muskingum’s best performing students in academics, research, special projects and service.

She has also been inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa at Muskingum University. Inductions were celebrated during parents and family weekend, held from March 31 to April 2 on campus.

Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society, was the first college honor society of a national scope to give recognition and honor for meritorious leadership and service in extracurricular activities and to encourage development of general campus citizenship. Since its founding, Omicron Delta Kappa has initiated more than 300,000 members.
