Energy efficiency topic at November lunch and learn

Energy efficiency will be the topic at the next monthly Lunch and Learn, presented by the the Madison County Chamber of Commerce.

The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 30 in the Chamber of Commerce conference room, 730 Keny Boulevard. Lunch will be provided free of charge for members, and for $5 for non-members.

Attendees will learn the key components of an energy efficiency programs for commercial and industrial buildings. They will discuss benchmarking — knowing your starting point; energy assessment and energy audits — what is best for my building; implementing Energy Conservation Measures — the easy ones and those that need capital; funding sources — rebates, grants, and low interest loans; and tracking results — knowing you are getting the expected return.

The presenter is Craig Foster, PE, who is serving as interim director at the Procter Center south of London.

Foster is a founding partner of Energility LLC, a full service energy management company. As director of delivered services, he leads the engineering and technical quality assurance services for our Energility. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) who has been in the energy management industry working with commercial and industrial businesses for more than 35 years participating in over 1000 energy audits in that time period.
