Plain City Druggist has hired a new pharmacy manager.
Jennifer Provost grew up in Indianapolis, but considers herself a full fledged Buckeye since her graduation from pharmacy school at Ohio Northern University in 2015. While she was at Ohio Northern pursuing her doctorate of pharmacy degree, Provost also played on the women’s varsity tennis team and for the Ohio Northern Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Flute Ensemble.
Before coming to Plain City Druggist, Provost worked at a Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Norton, Ohio.
She recently moved to the area from Cleveland with her pup, Watson. The pair have enjoyed seeing Central Ohio and discovering the town and surrounding counties.
“Provost loves being a pharmacist,” said Robin Craft, who owns the pharmacy with her husband, Joe. “Her favorite daily activity is answering patients’ questions about their medications and helping them work through any problems or side-effects they may be experiencing.
“She understands that medications and health care can be confusing and overwhelming at times. Jennifer says she wants to do everything possible to make sure the patients who visit Plain City Druggist are on the safest medication options and that they also understand how their medications are helping them.”
In her spare time, Provost enjoys playing with her dog and hiking the area metro parks. She is currently finishing a business degree, so she sometimes finds herself completing last-minute homework assignments over a Der Dutchman breakfast.
“She says they don’t have breakfasts like Der Dutchman’s in Indiana,” Craft said.
Provost is looking forward to becoming more involved in the community and getting to know Plain City Druggist’s staff and patients.
