More than 50 businesses are already signed up for Tolles Career & Technical Center’s annual job fair next week.
Regionally, there is high demand for employees in the fields of healthcare, manufacturing, logistics and construction, Tolles marketing and tech director Shane Haggerty said.
All of these industries will be represented at the Tolles job fair, which will run from 12:15 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7.
Other industries that will be represented include retail, hair and beauty, automotive, food service, business, engineering and recreation.
The event allows students to meet with employers looking for seasonal, part-time, and full-time employment. It also helps students meet a requirement as part of the Madison County Workforce Readiness Credential, which was started last year as a partnership between county schools, the community improvement corporation, and area businesses to prepare high school students to enter the workforce.
“Businesses will have access to our students and students from West Jefferson. It will be a great educational experience for these students, as well as a resource for employers looking to fill high-demand jobs,” Tolles career connections coordinator Beth Fogelsong said.
Most of the businesses currently signed up hail from Madison County, but there will also be employers from Marysville, Dublin and Hilliard, Haggerty said.
Currently, 52 businesses have signed up to participate. Businesses can register for the fair until April 5. Register online at TollesTech.com or by contacting Fogelsong at firstname.lastname@example.org or 614-873-4666, ext. 4295.
The event will be held in the Tolles auditorium.
