Record Rockin’ donation

Rockin’ on the Run, the London-based nonprofit raising money for pediatric brain tumors, hosted a record attendance at its sixth annual 5K Fun Walk/Run and Family Day, held May 16 at St. Patrick School. As a result, the organization’s donation goal was met. Representatives recently presented a $17,500 check to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This year the participants were split right in half in where they wanted their money to go, according to vice-president Ashley Winebrenner. Half of the proceeds, $8,750, was given toward brain tumor research and the other $8,750 to the hospital’s “fun fund.” From left, Rockin’ on the Run representatives Nick Yono, Beth Fordyce, Johnda Beathard, Ashley Winebrenner, Brittany Noble and Lisa Mittelkamp.
