The London Public Library, 20 E. First St., will be hosting an open house from 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 18 to celebrate the retirement of longtime employee Ruth Gorman.
Gorman will be retiring on Sunday, Dec. 31.
Gorman has been the outreach coordinator at the library since September, 2000. In her time at the library, she has worked tirelessly in reaching out to members of the community who were not able to come to the library. From her work with local churches, nursing homes, day care centers, and hospitals, she has made an undeniable impact on this community.
“Ruth has been such an invaluable asset to this library and this community,” said Bryan Howard, Director of the London Public Library. “She has touched so many lives, and worked so hard to better this community.”
Refreshments will be provided at the open house.
