The Della Selsor building began its morning on Wednesday with the annual Madison County Fair Cake Decorating Contest. Numerous 4-H club members entered the contest, which had three classes; Junior, Intermediate, and Senior.

Contestants were given a Styrofoam cake and four different colors of icing. Those participating also had the option of bringing in their own cake decorations to add to their design.

Throughout the decorating period, many of the younger kids opted to eat the icing rather than icing the cake.

Once all of the cakes were decorated, the judging began.

The winner of the Junior class for cake decorating was Kaitlynn Hollar of the LFS Riders 4-H Club.

Jacob Yearout of the Yes We Can 4-H Club took first place in the Intermediate category.

The Senior Class winner was Sophia Brand of the Yes We Can 4-H Club.
