Staff Report

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced Tuesday that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $71,314 to the Madison County Airport Authority and Madison County Commissioners for upgrades to the Madison County Airport.

“The Madison County Airport supports tourism and commerce in Madison County,” Brown said. “This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of the airport so it can remain a reliable option for the county.”

This grant to the Madison County Airport will go toward the construction of a hangar building, an addition that will help the airport become more self-sustaining by generating revenue.
