The judges ballots are in for this year’s Miss Strawberry Festival Pageant and London now knows which young lady will reign supreme in 2017.
Savannah Ison was selected as this year’s queen, giving her an opportunity to travel statewide to participate in festivities at similar local festivals.
Ison, 14, will be attending London High School as a freshman this year and was second attendant for the junior contest in 2016. She is a member of the Champaign County 4-H Club, Saddle Up. She attends fairs with her horse Tyrone where she likes to compete and makes new friends in the local equestrian community.
For her community service project, she wants to get the community to help at-risk children with family members who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction.
Cayla Thompson, 15, a London High School sophomore, was selected as third attendant. Constance Baker, 14, another London Freshman was awarded second attendant while Kristen Burgoon, 17, a Madison-Plains and Tolles Career & Technical Center student was named first attendant.
On Thursday, the other members of the festival’s court were announced.

Tristiana Raub was named Young Miss with Alexis Doughty as attendant.
Little Miss was given to Julia Turvy with attendant Carlee Mason.
Finally, Annabelle Balderson was named Miss Shortcake 2017.
In addition to a crown, embroidered sash and roses, each queen will received a scholarship after their reign ends in 2018 along with other prizes.
