The London Public Library is hosting the following upcoming events:
• Superhero Math-O-Magic Show with Captain Numbers takes you on a fast-paced, upbeat, and highly visual ride using comedy, improv, magic, and zany puppets to bring out your superhero powers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15.
• Join a lively discussion with comic book experts, including a retailer, the Laughing Ogre comic store, and a comics scholar, Ashley K. Dallacqua of Ohio State University, about the comic book industry and the value of comics in education. Plus, catch a glimpse of how comics are made and watch the colorist for Cartoon Books, Tom Gaadt with books such as “Bone,” “RASL” and “Tuki” will color a comic panel live at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16.
• Build your own superheroes and sidekicks with LEGOs provided by the library. Spend 30 minutes constructing characters with judging to follow. Prizes will be awarded at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 18.
• Listen to live music during select Fridays in the months of June and July on the library’s back lawn. Pick up a Concert Series program at the library for complete details on musical performances, dates and times. Deighton Charlemagne will perform at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 19.
