The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP), in conjunction with the City of Hilliard Police Department, will hold an an OVI sobriety checkpoint Saturday, Aug. 15 in Hilliard.
The OVI sobriety checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.
OSP advises those that plan to consume alcohol to designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before drinking.
