A West Jefferson man pleaded guilty to a single count of drug possession Tuesday in Madison County Common Pleas Court.

Ricky Allen, 33, had his sentencing hearing set for Sept. 14. His bond was revoked Monday for a positive drug screen.

Allen could face up to one year and six months in prison for the offense. His attorney Patrick Phillips requested that his client be evaluated for a community-based correctional facility.

Judge Eamon Costello ordered a $25,000 cash surety bond for Allen Tuesday.
