Two special cars built by American Motors will appear Sunday at a show in West Jefferson.
Jeff Kennedy, of West Jefferson, will use his six-acre spread on State Route 142 to host the Richard A. Teague Midwest AMO Regional for American Motors made cars.
The show will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday at 7100 State Route 142.
One vehicle is the 1968 AMX, a two-seat sports car, painted pink and awarded that year to the Playboy Playmate of the Year. It was acquired by its current owner, Mark Melvin and given a complete rotisserie restoration.
Melvin will make the trip from California not only for the show in West Jefferson, but also another American Motors show later in Cleveland.
Also another 1968 AMX, in red, white and blue, is a replica of the car used by land speed driver, Craig Breedlove. He drove it to 106 speed records, according to Kennedy.
The car was a prize in the Canadian American Motors Dealers contest and won by Darryl Salisbury.
The show is free to spectators.
Along with the show is a reunion for all area former AMC employees.
