The Plain City Lions Club donated glasses collected from locations around town to the OSU School of Optometry on Jan. 17.

Collection boxes are located in many Plain City area business locations, including Advanced Eye Care, Schrock Automotive, Yoder’s True Value Hardware, The Richwood Bank, Ferguson Funeral Home, the Country Closet Thrift Store, Security National Bank, the Plain City Druggist and the Plain City Historical Society.

Donated glasses are taken each year by a delegation of optometrists, ophthalmologists and students from the school to provide eyeglasses to children and those in need in a developing country. No destination has yet been established for this year’s trip.
