Gary Brock - General Manager/Editor

About Gary Brock:

Gary Brock has been General Manager and Editor of the Madison Press since May, 2017. He is also Editor of Rural Life Today, the AIM Media farming and agriculture monthly. He began his career in media as a reporter with the Xenia Daily Gazette. Since then he has been managing editor at the Xenia Gazette, managing editor at the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette and publisher-editor at the Record-Herald in Washington Court House from 2003 until starting with Rural Life Today full-time in 2013. In his career he has received 24 Ohio Associated Press awards for news writing, including 8 first-place awards for editorial page and column writing and investigative reporting; awards from the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists for Best Editorial Campaign and Best Columnist in Ohio; and first place as Best Editorial Writer by Thomson Newspapers in 2001. He is also the former President of the Ohio Associated Press Society of Ohio and presently serves as the Fayette County trustee on the South Central Goodwill Industries Board of Trustees. A graduate of Wright State University, he also taught media and journalism at Wilberforce University for 5 years.

Jason Roby - Sales Manager

About Jason Roby:

Born in Sidney Ohio and raised in De Graff Ohio, Jason has been with The Madison Press since 2017 and Aim Media Midwest since 2014, when he started at The Urbana Daily Citizen.
Jason serves as the Sales Manager for the Urbana Daily Citizen and The Madison Press. Jason has a bachelor degree in Communications/Marketing and Has been in sales for more than 15 years. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and golf. Jason has four children, Dakota, Kailynn, Britton, and Jaycen.

Tara Renner - Account executive

About Tara Renner:

Tara has been with The Madison Press since December 2010. She is the media sales consultant for Plain City, West Jefferson, Hilliard, Dublin, Marysville and London. Born and raised in London, she is a graduate of London High School. Tara is a member of St James Lutheran Church, volunteers at her daughter's school and MidOhio Food Bank. She is the mother of Victoria, 25 and Allana, 16.

Mark Gaver - Account executive

About Mark Gaver:

Born north of the Mississippi delta in Urbana, Ohio, Mark has been with The Madison Press since 2009 and Civitas Media since 1984, when he started his advertising career at The Urbana Daily Citizen. Mark has a an associate's degree in criminal justice and background in real estate. In his spare time, he enjoys serving as a historian with the Simon Kenton historical corridor for Ohio and Kentucky. Mark has two children, Grant and Hannah.

Wesley Stratton - Circulation CSR

About Wesley Stratton:

Wesley Stratton, 24 of Hillsboro, started working for The Sidney Daily News as the circulation customer service representative in May of 2016 and then was transferred to The Madison Press in October 2017. He handles circulation for The Madison Press & The Plain City Advocate.

Michael Williamson - Staff Writer

About Michael Williamson:

Mike Williamson has been with The Madison Press since June 2017. In addition to covering local events, he covers Plain City, Mt. Sterling, and West Jefferson. Prior to working for The Press full-time, he was a staff writer for Rural Life Today. He has a Communications-Electronic Media and Film degree from Capital University where he wrote film reviews for the campus newspaper. He lives in Plain City with his wife and enjoys film, food, writing, and history.

Andrew Garrett - Staff Writer

About Andrew Garrett:

Andrew first started with The Madison Press in 1983 as a paper carrier. Upon graduating from London High School in 1989, he became copy editor for The Madison Press that same year. He returned to the paper in October of 2017 as a staff writer. Somewhere along the line, Andrew obtained a Bachelors of Fine Art degree from The Ohio State University. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking and getting out of Madison County.

Chris Miles - Sports Editor

About Chris Miles:

Chris Miles has been with The Madison Press since August 2012. He has a degree in Broadcast Communications and a minor in Journalism from Western Michigan University. He is a rabid sports fan who particularly enjoys NCAA college basketball and the NFL. He lives in Dublin, OH with his wife and two daughters. In his spare time Chris coaches his daughters' softball and basketball teams.
