On Saturday, Feb. 25, the London Country Club will be hosting a comedy show featuring the talents of Chick McGee.

Council recognizes Gates

West Jefferson Police Chief Dennis Gates receives a handshake and a plaque from Mayor Darlene Steele  as Gates was honored for his more than 33 years of service to the village. There will be a public farewell party from 2-4 p.m. at the village hall this Friday, Feb. 24.

Limelight shines on Fahy

Molly Fahy waves to the crowd Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation’s fundraiser for pediatric cancer. Accompanying her on stage were Blue Jackets player, Derek Dorsett (No. 15) and his friend, Alison Humbert. Molly was one of 10 pediatric cancer survivors, who modeled fashions as part of the “Black Tie” event. See story, Page 2.

Molly Fahy got to strut her stuff Thursday evening at the Blue Jackets Foundation’s Black Tie Event. The 7-year-old leukemia survivor had as her partners Blue Jackets players John Moore, Derek Dorset and Dorset’s girlfriend Alli Humbert.

Music awards earned

London High School students recently participated in the Ohio Music Education Association Solo and Ensemble Contest. Among those participating are kneeling from left: Kim Carnahan and Caitlin Martin; standing: Rachael Richardson, Victoria Blain, Matt Colvin, Corey Patterson, Elizabeth Bennett and Andrea King.

Students from London High School displayed their musical talents at the annual Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District 15 Solo and Ensemble Contest, held at Pickerington North High School.

London man admits to 17 armed robberies, CPD says

A London man has admitted to Columbus Police he committed a string of robberies on the west side of Franklin County. He apparently robbed many food-selling establishments to feed his own drug habit.

Eades delivers annual address
