Residents of London may experience “hard” or over-calcified water for a few days, according to water plant supervisor Marty Colwell.
An auger that carries lime to the plant broke on June 27. Lime is added to the city’s well water as a “softening” agent.
Auger repairs were completed on July 1.
Colwell said it will take several days to circulate the untreated water out of city lines.
The water remains safe to drink.
