Members of the Plains Drifters Motorcycle Club rolled into London on Saturday, June 14, and donated bicycles and helmets to needy families at Cowling Park. Members did the same in Springfield earlier that day. Madison County Job and Family Services assisted the club with providing the names of local families in need. The Plains Drifters Motorcycle Club, which has chapters in London and Springfield, was founded in 1993 to promote a positive image of motorcyclists. The group has supported the community of London in the past by benefiting the senior citizens, The Marigold Festival (now the Strawberry Festival) 5K run and the Heinzerling Foundation of Columbus.
