Following a call of suspicious activity, a Hillsboro man was found to be in possession of heroin and arrested, according to a press release from the Hillsboro Police Department.
On Saturday, police responded to a report from a Muntz Street business that subjects “appeared to be under the influence of drugs.” Following an investigation, it was found that Jesse D. Henderson, 23, of Hillsboro, had 24 grams of heroin and $1,050 in cash on his person.
Henderson was arrested and transported to the Highland County Justice Center.
He was charged with first-degree felony trafficking in drugs, second-degree felony possession of drugs, and fifth-degree felony possession of drugs.
According to Hillsboro Municipal Court records, he was arraigned on all three charges Monday morning. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 8.
Henderson is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
