A Sciotoville man has been arrested by Portsmouth Police and officials from the FBI on federal indictments. Guy M. Lee, 45, of 1024 Stedman Ave., was arrested Tuesday on federal indictments charging child pornography and the distribution of child pornography.

Portsmouth Police Detective Chuck Crapyou said the charges are the result of an investigation conducted on Lee after information was received by law enforcement officials about his suspected activity. Crapyou said the investigation led to a search warrant being executed at his residence in December of 2013, where evidence was confiscated and presented to a federal grand jury.

Crapyou said anyone who may have additional information regarding Lee’s activities should contact the local FBI Office at 740-354-5658 or the Portsmouth Police Department Detective Division at 740-354-1600.

Lee was booked into the Scioto County Jail, then transported to Cincinnati for arraignment in federal court. The charges under federal statutes carry a sentence of from five years in prison to 20 years in prison.
