Westfall FFA Ag sales team competes

The Westfall FFA Chapter District Ag Sales team are front row: Maggie Hovermale; second row: Mary Roush, Kaleb Barnes and Devonah Kaiser.

WILLIAMSPORT — The Westfall FFA Chapter recently participated in the District Ag Sales contest held at Lancaster High School. The team of Mary Roush, Devonah Kaiser, Maggie Hovermale and Kaleb Barnes placed third in the District out of 10 teams.

Hovermale was the second place individual scorer out of 33 participants in the competition. The team was required to prepare a sales demonstration of an agricultural product. Westfall’s team demonstrated selling a variety of agricultural products. In addition, teams are required to take a written test on sales procedures and participate in a practicum involving customer relations.

The Westfall Agricultural Education department is a satellite program of the Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center.
