Search in 4th day for OH woman seen near pond

WILMINGTON, Ohio (AP) — State and local authorities are continuing to focus efforts to find a 32-year-old southwest Ohio woman after she was last seen running toward a retention pond.

Wilmington police spokeswoman Mary Kay Vance says authorities are using sonar to help diversĀ  target areas in the search resuming Wednesday morning.

Authorities, family, friends and volunteers have been searching for Casey Pitzer since the early morning hours of Sunday. Police say she was at a bar Saturday night with friends and began walking alone toward her home in Sabina (Suh-BYE’-nuh).

The Wilmington News Journal has reported that shortly after getting a ride with two men, she got out and ran across lanes of traffic on Ohio 73.

Authorities have used dragging equipment and other means at the large retention pond near the highway.
