Madison County girls pick up all-district hoops honors

A number of Madison County girls basketball players picked up All-Central District honors last month. The awards were voted on by a panel of Associated Press sports reporters.

Madison-Plains’ Abby Finney was selected third-team all-district, while teammate Abby Ames and the West Jefferson duo of Paige Fabry and Kelsey Kirkpatrick were tabbed honorable mention in D-III.

Shekinah Christian’s standout senior Annie Rohrer was a second team D-IV pick, while fellow senior Bridget Troyer was named to the third team. The Flames’ Ashley Gingerich was selected honorable mention.
